Readmission Policy

Once you enter Boston Calling Music Festival for the first time, we’ll give you a wristband that allows you to come and go throughout the day. We encourage you to enjoy what the surrounding area has to offer and will allow you to reenter with outside food and a factory sealed water bottle.

Getting There

We strongly encourage you to take public transportation. Boston Calling Music Festival is easily accessible from multiple MBTA stations:

Ample parking garages surround City Hall Plaza in Boston although we strongly encourage you to take public transportation.

The preferred parking garage of Boston Calling is the Government Center Garage, located at 50 New Sudbury Street. They have offered Boston Calling ticket holders discounted rates at $15 per day when purchased in advance. Limited quantity available.

Volunteer at Boston Calling

Work Exchange Team (WET) is the work exchange program where you are able to experience Boston Calling Music Festival behind the scenes! WET members work in fun and exciting departments such as site operations, productions, VIP, hospitality, and much more. WET members are required to complete a minimum amount of hours and in exchange will receive a full weekend festival pass, WET T-shirt, and an amazing sense of pride that you helped run Boston’s first music festival. What happens if it rains?

Boston Calling is a rain or shine event. Only in the event of a state wide emergency that forces Boston Calling to be canceled, will all tickets purchased in advance be refunded.

What is Boston Calling Music Festival?

Boston Calling Music Festival is a two-day, two-stage festival featuring some of the biggest and best acts in live music. The event will be one big party with easy access to both stages, food, services and more. All ages are welcome and children under 10 are free.

When and where is it held?

When: Saturday and Sunday, May 25th & 26th
Where: City Hall Plaza, Boston MA

When is the performance schedule released?

The performance schedule will be released in early May. If you want to be notified right away once the schedule is released, be sure to sign up for our mailing list.

When do tickets go on-sale?

Early Bird Passes will be on sale as of Friday, March 1st.
All other passes go on sale on Friday, March 8th.

How much do tickets cost?

Single days are $75 and weekend passes are $130. VIP tickets are $185 for a single day and $350 for the weekend.

How do I get to City Hall Plaza?

City Hall Plaza is accessible by the MBTA, car, and bike/foot.

Where should I stay in Boston?

We suggest staying at the Liberty Hotel – it is within a short walk to the festival and offers amazing amenities. They are offering special room rates to all festival attendees, and will be festival headquarters. Call (866) 961 3778 and ask for the Boston Calling Music Festival rate!

Is the Festival accessible to people with disabilities?

Of course. The entire plaza has various ramps accessing the multiple levels. ADA accessible restrooms are also available.

Any tips on preparation for a day at Boston Calling Music Festival?

We suggest preparing for the event as follows:

Are there ATMs available if I run low on cash?

Sure. ATMs will be located by the festival merch booth and within the beer garden.

Is the entire VIP section 21+

Yes, you must be 21+ in order to enter the VIP mezzanine for any reason.

What will be available in the foobeer areas?

Delicious food and beer, of course. Be on the look out for popular Boston food trucks that will be at the festival. Beer and wine will be available in the 21+ beer garden as well as in the VIP area. Please make sure to bring proper id in order to enter.

What about vegetarian items?

Many food vendors will feature a vegetarian option.

Will you have merch for sale?

Festival t-shirts for men and women, a limited edition festival poster, hats, and many other items will be sold at the main merchandise stand. Artist merch will also be available there. Limited event merchandise will be available before the festival so check by clicking the Shop link above.

How can I apply for a food booth?

We generally will not be accepting food vendor applications for the event, as we are seeking out specific food vendors, food trucks, and other purveyors in the food scene, but if you are interested in being considered, please email us with your company/business name, full contact and company information, and detailed information on the food items and dishes you would like to sell. Also include a resume on other events you have been a food vendor at. Someone will be in touch soon after!

How can I apply for press credentials?

How can my company become a Sponsor?

Sponsors are cool, and if your company would like to be a festival sponsor, please email us with as much info as possible on your company, as well as your contact info, and one of our sponsorship reps will be in touch soon after!
